The ABCs of Halloween

Posted by Dawn Dalton on 11:56 AM

The calendar barely had a chance to roll over into October before I began tearing up my basement in search of my coveted Halloween decor. Oh yeah, this is the most wonderful time of the year. Don't you agree?

Over the next couple of days, my home - inside and out - will go from modern to macabre as I haul out the animated zombies, witches and ghosts, pepper the walls with spiders, bats and birds, and start planning out the annual Halloween feast. Black cat cheese ball, anyone?

On the blog, starting tomorrow, I'll be counting down the sleeps until my favorite holiday with an alphabet-inspired post (everyday except Sundays) about something related to Halloween. Fun facts, pop culture references, phobias and more!  Join me tomorrow for some fabulous trivia about a popular Autumn fruit with some unorthodox ties to the season.

I always have fun in October, but this year is marked by a couple of additional spooktacular treats.

Killer's Instinct, the book I co-wrote with Judith Graves, launches from Leap Books this month, and to celebrate, I'm joining 19 other authors in the young adult paranormal genre for the annual Crossroads Blog Tour. You won't want to miss out on the opportunity to win creeptastic treats, including the grand prize of a Kindle, fully loaded with books by each of the authors on the tour.

Happy October 1, friends. Time to get our Halloween on!
