Q is for Quantam of Solace

Posted by Dawn Dalton on 6:00 AM

Last year, I attempted the A to Z Blogging Challenge with young adult books starting with the appropriate letter of the alphabet. I was going to follow that same theme, but I knew so many of them would be the same and this year, I've been trying my hand at script writing - with fairly good success. So, I decided to base this year's theme on either movies I loved as a kid - or movies made for kids. Join me on a Hollywood adventure?

Okay, okay. This is a TOTAL cheat because a) this is not a movie for kids and b) it's not even one of my top 100 favorite flicks. There's just not a lot of "Q" movies out there. So here's how I'm justifying it:

007 was a staple in my house growing up. The best Bond, based on an informal, but frequent poll, by members of my household is indeed Sean Connery. I still love him - even though I admit, Daniel Craig isn't too bad. Certainly, he's easy on the eyes.

While Quantam of Solace wasn't the best Bond, it was a decent action flick. Unlike those previous Bond movies starring Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan. *shudder* THOSE men were not Bond material at all.

So says the informal family poll - and my gag reflex. Yuck.

Best Bond in your eyes?

For me, Sean Connery is the best bond. And my Q choice would have been "The Queen" with Helen Mirren and Michael Sheen! :-)
